Willem Zeeman is an experienced cybersecurity professional with a proven track record in leading Digital Forensics and Incident Response (DFIR) investigations across a wide range of critical cases. These have included ransomware attacks, Business Email Compromises (BECs), and high-profile incidents such as the largest ransomware attack in Dutch history and sophisticated, enterprise-scale attacks carried out by state actors and Advanced Persistent Threats (APTs).
With a foundation of 17 years in IT administration and consulting, Willem brings a broad technical perspective to his work. This experience, combined with an additional 7 years specializing in cybersecurity, equips him with the practical knowledge to address both operational and strategic security challenges.
In addition to handling complex incidents, Willem has provided strategic consulting, advising clients on their IT security roadmaps and addressing key cybersecurity challenges. He has also played a vital role in contributing to high-level decision-making and long-term security planning at a leading cybersecurity firm.
Beyond his core responsibilities, Willem has been deeply involved in public/private partnerships and was a core team member of the Dutch Melissa initiative. He is passionate about public speaking and regularly engages with audiences to share insights on cybersecurity.
